About the role As a Senior Automation Engineer at Metso, you will join our EIA team (electrical, instrumentation, and automation) in Kil, which currently consists of about seven specialists. You will become a key player in developing, implementing, and optimizing the control systems and robotics solutions that drive our customers' automated processes worldwide. The role involves end-to-end responsibility throughout the project lifecycle – from concept and design to machine testing in the workshop and final commissioning at the customer's site. Since we deliver globally, a central part of the position is that you enjoy traveling. Travel is a natural part of the job and can involve stays abroad for up to 8 weeks at a time during major start-ups. In the long term, and as you get settled into the role, we also envision that you can act as a mentor for younger colleagues in the team. Customer visits may range from short service trips lasting a few days to start-ups that can span several weeks over longer periods Create instructions, manuals, and training materials, as well as conduct training sessions for the customer’s technicians and operators Work with machine simulations and ensure that PLC programs and related systems are kept up to date Support other departments with automation-related information and technical assistance We are looking for you who Holds a post-secondary degree in automation or possesses equivalent work experience. Has several years of experience in PLC programming, preferably in Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley environments. Has excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Has the ability and willingness to travel internationally. Holds a valid driver's license It is meritorious if you have Experience in robot programming. Experience with Allen-Bradley Rockwell systems. Experience with simulation tools such as Enterprise Dynamics, Visual Components, or similar. Experience in automation R&D projects. Working hours: 08:00–17:00 To succeed in this role, we believe you are structured, responsible, and detail-oriented. Additionally, you are flexible and confident working both independently and as part of a team. The work is based in Kil or at Metso’s customer sites. Vi söker en erfaren automationsingenjör med fokus på PLC- och / eller Robot- programmering som vill bli en del av vårt automationsteam på Camatec. OM JOBBET I rollen kommer du huvudsakligen programmera och driftsätta automationslösningar. Du kommer att arbeta genom hela kedjan – från koncept till driftsatt maskin. Arbetsuppgifterna består av att: Delta i konceptutveckling för automationslösningar och produktionsutrustning. Programmera och driftsätta industrirobotar (primärt ABB-robotar). Programmera och driftsätta PLC-system (primärt Siemens). Arbeta praktiskt nära maskiner och utrustning – installation, driftsättning, test, FAT, SAT. Felsöka och optimera automationssystem i produktion. Ta fram teknisk dokumentation. VI SÖKER Vi söker dig som har mycket god erfarenhet av fullautomatiserad produktionsutrustning med avancerad maskin- och produktionsutveckling. Vidare ser vi att du; Har mycket god erfarenhet av programmering av Robotar (helst ABB), och / eller PLC-system (helst Siemens) inom industriell automation. Har erfarenhet av att arbeta med maskiner, produktionsutrustning och att driftsätta dessa ute hos kund. Har ett strukturerat och analytiskt arbetssätt – du ser och tar hänsyn till helheten. Uppskattar att samarbeta tvärfunktionellt – PLC-programmering, Robot, el, mekanik, hydraulik, pneumatik, produktion – och kan kommunicera tekniska lösningar på ett tydligt sätt. Har svenskt medborgarskap då vi har flertalet försvarsprojekt. Med fördel talar och skriver flytande svenska samt engelska. As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of online fiber and pulp analyzers, as well as laboratory analyzers. You will be responsible for the entire service process, from planning and execution to follow-up activities.
