Om rollen Som Utvecklingsingenjör ansvarar du för utveckling, konstruktion och teknisk support av både nya och befintliga produkter. Rollen innebär ett stort eget ansvar och nära samarbete med flera funktioner inom verksamheten. Huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter Utveckling och konstruktion av nya och befintliga produkter. Teknisk ansvarig för produkter och tekniska lösningar. Framtagning, uppdatering och underhåll av teknisk dokumentation. Samarbete med produktion, försäljning och kunder. Deltagande i produktutvecklingsprojekt och kontinuerligt förbättringsarbete. Teknisk problemlösning och kvalitetsutredningar. Bidra till utveckling av arbetssätt, metoder och processer. Vi söker dig som har Högskole- eller civilingenjörsutbildning inom maskinteknik, produktutveckling eller motsvarande. Erfarenhet av mekanisk konstruktion av precisionskomponenter. God CAD- och ritningskompetens. Erfarenhet från producerande eller tillverkande industri. Goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska, både i tal och skrift. Meriterande erfarenheter Arbete med RF- eller mikrovågskomponenter samt radar- eller SatCom-system. Produktutveckling inom flyg-, försvars- eller rymdindustrin. Erfarenhet av roterande tätningslösningar. Kunskaper inom CFD och flödesanalys. Erfarenhet av testning och verifiering. Vem är du? This position is located at the Stockholm Kista site.    What you will do: As a member of the design team, you will be part of developing the User Plane Control Layer (L2) components of Ericsson’s Baseband software for our world leading 5G RAN and future 6G solutions.  Contribute to baseband product development that focuses on systemization, design, testing, and troubleshooting. As you will be exposed to high-edge integrated and cloud RAN products.  Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance activities.  Implementation with production-based agentic flow systems.  Learn industry best practices, agile ways of working, and state-of-the-art development environments applying new knowledge to improve product innovation.  The skills you bring:   Master’s degree or PhD in telecommunications, AI, signal processing, wireless communications, computer science, embedded.  Strong foundation in C, C++, Python programming.  Experience with Amazon-Q(Kiro-cli), Claude code or other AI code assistant tools, LLMs, AI agents, RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks is highly desirable.  Collaborative and Creative mindset who can easily interact with people.  Eagerness to learn, and the courage to take initiative and ownership.  Familiarity with Wireless communication technologies (4G/5G), 3GPP/ORAN standards, and/or signal processing is a strong plus.  ML and Gen AI Tools hands-on experience is a plus.  Proven hands-on expertise in AI/ML and Generative AI technologies including prototype development and enterprise AI implementations.

The role We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Innovation team and help develop Oceanbird's next generation of wind-powered propulsion systems for commercial vessels. In this role, you will be responsible for the structural integrity and design of large, complex structures, from early concepts through detailed design and verification. You will combine engineering fundamentals and hand calculations with advanced finite element analysis to understand structural behaviour, identify critical design drivers, and develop robust and cost-efficient solutions. Your structural expertise will directly influence how our products are designed, manufactured, tested, and operated. The role is highly hands-on but also requires a strong system-level perspective. You will need to understand not only how an individual component behaves, but how the complete product functions and interacts with its operational environment. Key responsibilities Perform structural calculations ranging from hand calculations and analytical methods to advanced FEA. Develop, assess, and document structural designs from concept through detailed design, testing, and verification in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, automation control, electrical, supply chain and quality, and customer projects. Take a system-level approach to understanding loads, boundary conditions, interfaces, operational environments, and failure modes. Prepare and peer-review structural calculation reports and documentation. Apply relevant design standards and class rules, such as DNV requirements. Evaluate alternative design solutions regarding structural performance, manufacturability, weight, complexity, and cost. Develop and maintain expertise in one or more specialist areas of structural engineering, such as fatigue, welding, bolted joints, dynamics, buckling, composite/steel structures, or structural optimisation. Communicate structural risks, assumptions, and design recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to design reviews, testing, verification activities, and continuous improvement of our engineering methods and processes. What we are looking for We believe the right candidate combines strong structural engineering fundamentals with a proven track record of delivering projects from concept to field-proven solutions. You likely have: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in structural engineering or a closely related field. A master's degree in structural engineering, mechanical engineering, naval architecture, aerospace engineering, or a similar discipline. Strong understanding of structural mechanics and engineering fundamentals. Practical experience with linear and non-linear finite element analysis; experience with ANSYS is highly desirable. Python programming experience is a plus. Experience designing and dimensioning large steel structures is highly desirable. Experience with marine, offshore, shipbuilding, heavy machinery, energy, or other highly regulated structural applications is an advantage. Experience working with DNV standards or other marine classification society rules is highly desirable. A sound understanding of how engineering decisions affect the business case of the product. Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.
