Jobbeskrivning I rollen kommer du att arbeta med utveckling, industrialisering och förbättring av produkter och tillverkningsprocesser. Du blir en viktig länk mellan flera funktioner och får arbeta i nära samarbete med produktion, kvalitet, konstruktion, inköp, kunder och leverantörer. Dina arbetsuppgifter kan bland annat innefatta: Industrialisering och introduktion av nya produkter Produktionsberedning och framtagning av tillverkningsunderlag Upprättande och underhåll av teknisk dokumentation och arbetsinstruktioner Utveckling och optimering av produktionsmetoder, verktyg och fixturer Analys av ritningar, tekniska krav och produktionsflöden Problemlösning, felsökning och rotorsaksanalyser Driva och genomföra kontinuerliga förbättringsinitiativ Medverkan i projekt kopplade till ny teknik, investeringar och produktionsutrustning Samarbete över flera funktioner för att säkerställa kvalitet, leveransprecision och produktivitet Beroende på uppdragets inriktning kan du även komma att arbeta med områden som CAD-konstruktion, mätteknik, additiv tillverkning, FMEA/PFMEA samt industrialiseringsprocesser enligt APQP eller NPI. Kvalifikationer Vi söker dig som har: Teknisk utbildning inom maskinteknik, produktionsteknik eller motsvarande Erfarenhet från tillverkande industri God kunskap inom ritningsläsning och teknisk dokumentation Erfarenhet av produktionstekniska processer och produktionsutveckling Goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska, både i tal och skrift Meriterande Erfarenhet av CAD-verktyg Kunskap inom FMEA/PFMEA, APQP eller NPI Erfarenhet av kvalitetsarbete och processutveckling Kunskap inom mätteknik eller additiv tillverkning Erfarenhet av LEAN eller förbättringsarbete Personliga egenskaper För att trivas i rollen tror vi att du är: Analytisk och lösningsorienterad Strukturerad och kvalitetsmedveten Initiativrik och ansvarstagande Kommunikativ och samarbetsorienterad Teknisk nyfiken med ett starkt driv att utveckla och förbättra Du motiveras av att ta ansvar för dina leveranser och trivs i miljöer där innovation, teknik och ständiga förbättringar står i fokus. Senior Design Engineer - Exterior Systems

ALTEN Sweden is now looking for two Senior Design Engineers with expertise in Exterior Systems to join an exciting automotive project in Gothenburg. You will play a key role in the development of next-generation vehicles, taking ownership of technical deliveries within areas such as Tailgate, Bumper, and Exterior Trim. In this role, you will lead design activities, coordinate engineering work within the team, and ensure high-quality solutions from concept to industrialization using CATIA and Teamcenter. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and developing exterior components such as bumpers, tailgates, and exterior trim parts using CATIA V5/V6. Taking technical ownership of a delivery area and driving design activities throughout the product development process. Leading and coordinating engineering work within a team environment, ensuring quality and timely deliveries. Working in Teamcenter for product data management, release handling, and collaboration across functions. Collaborating closely with manufacturing, purchasing, CAE, and quality teams to ensure robust and manufacturable designs. Driving component development, technical investigations, design reviews, and engineering change management Who You Are: Several years of experience in automotive product development and component design. Strong expertise in plastic and/or metal component design, preferably within bumper, exterior trim, or tailgate systems. Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5/V6. Experience working in Teamcenter or a similar PLM system. Previous experience leading a technical delivery, module, or development team. Strong knowledge of automotive development processes and product realization. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. In this role, you will be part of a Hardware Release team within Connectivity Platform, supporting hardware releases, documentation, supplier coordination, and product deliveries throughout the development lifecycle. About the role Drive hardware release activities and secure deliveries according to project milestones. Manage hardware part number releases and related documentation. Coordinate and participate in design reviews. Ensure alignment between KDP, TCPLM, TcE, and associated release documentation. Support release approvals, deviations, and change management activities. Coordinate supplier hardware release planning and delivery follow-up. Manage supplier backlog, technical discussions, and review activities. Support factory and aftermarket organizations with release-related topics. Contribute to sourcing activities and documentation management for new projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, suppliers, manufacturing, and project organizations. Who You Are Experience from product development within the automotive industry. Background in hardware, electronics, electrical systems, or component ownership. Experience as Component Owner, Responsible Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Lead Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar. Experience managing components or electronic systems through development and release phases. Knowledge of supplier management and cross-functional collaboration. Experience with design reviews, technical documentation, and change management. Familiar with tools and processes such as KDP, TCPLM, VPDC, VPC, Planisware, Jira, or similar. Experience working with hardware releases, product structures, part numbers, or configuration management is highly meritorious. Fluent in English.
