About the role
For over 50 years, our innovative solutions have developed and manufactured machines for electronics and display manufacturing. We continue to grow within an expanding range of industries, and the Pattern Generator (PG) division holds a unique position in the market as the world's leading supplier of laser-based mask writers for photomask manufacturing, which, in turn, are used to produce high-resolution displays and semiconductors. For any high-resolution display produced in larger volumes that you see, whether it is a TV, phone, tablet, or smartwatch, Mycronic’s machines are a critical part of the manufacturing process. Our product portfolio also includes inspection machines that help ensure the quality of the photomasks used in display and semiconductors manufacturing.
We are growing, with new customers, markets, and products, and we are now looking to expand one of our R&D teams with an experienced Project Manager. You will be part of a larger team of Project and Configuration Managers. In addition to working closely with your immediate team, you will collaborate with a wide range of functions and disciplines, including systems engineering, electronics, mechanics, optics, software, and verification, as well as purchasing, production, and installation.
Work tasks
This is a role for someone who wants to grow as a Project Manager within product development and work with project management throughout all phases of the product life cycle. You will lead and coordinate projects throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from initial business opportunity investigations and research through development, purchasing, manufacturing, delivery qualification, installation, and product maintenance. Working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, you will ensure that projects progress smoothly through all phases, from early concepts to product delivery and beyond.
The projects you work on may involve developing new products, upgrading existing machines, adapting products to customer needs, and introducing additional functionality.
You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget, as well as for managing project resources. Project budgets can range from a few million SEK up to over a hundred million per year, while project durations can vary from a few months to several years, depending on the product and the complexity of the project.
Furthermore, you will:
Report project status to project steering groups.
Define project goals and develop project plans.
Create the right conditions for project members to succeed.
We are looking for
This is a role for someone who thrives in a high-tech, global, and fast-changing environment, where your ability to prioritize- and prioritize will be put to full use. You have strong ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization and are a true team player with an open and positive mindset.
In addition, you have:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics, mechatronics, mechanics, or a similar field.
Preferably at least 5 years of experience in technical project management, working with advanced products combining both hardware and software.
Strong knowledge in English, written and spoken alike.
We se it as a merit if you have:
Proficiency in Swedish.
Experience from a manufacturing company.
A general understanding of the electronics industry.

Scope: Full-time
Location: Täby and possibility of hybrid work (but minimum 3 days per week In office as an average)
