Senior Application Security Engineer

Stockholm·IT-säkerhetstekniker

On behalf of a partner company, Nordic Investin is looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer. You enjoy finding the design flaw before it becomes a production incident and helping engineers fix the pattern rather than only the instance. The partner wants to embed application security more deeply in product delivery. You will work with developers on threat modelling, secure design, testing and remediation across modern web and API services. Security work is expected to reduce real exposure while preserving the organisation’s ability to deliver. The strongest candidates can connect a technical weakness with a credible threat, an appropriate control and a practical path to implementation. How you will work You will work directly with the people who design, operate and depend on the systems being protected. Recommendations must identify the threat, the affected asset and a realistic implementation path. The partner values careful evidence, proportionate controls and clear escalation when risk cannot be removed immediately. As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. The role still includes hands on delivery; seniority here means broader judgement, not distance from the work. What you will do Facilitate threat modelling for new features and architectures. Review code and designs for exploitable weaknesses. Improve SAST, DAST and dependency scanning workflows. Develop secure coding guidance with practical examples. Support vulnerability triage and coordinated remediation. Teach teams through pairing, workshops and incident lessons. What you will bring Strong software engineering or application security background. Knowledge of web, API and identity vulnerabilities. Experience with threat modelling and secure code review. Ability to automate checks within CI CD. Clear understanding of risk severity and exploitability. Constructive communication with product engineers. Experience that would add value Cloud native application security. Mobile or embedded application security. Bug bounty, penetration testing or security research. A background that can succeed here You may be a developer who moved into security or a security specialist who can write and review production code. The partner needs technical depth and a style that makes engineering teams more capable, not more dependent. What makes the opportunity interesting The role gives you direct influence over products before release and the freedom to improve the security system around delivery. Your success will be visible in better designs, faster remediation and fewer repeated weaknesses. The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time. The recruitment conversation During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional technology if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap. How to apply Apply with your CV or LinkedIn profile and a short note describing the most relevant system, product or transformation you have helped deliver. Nordic Investin welcomes candidates with different routes into technology and assesses applicants on relevant capability, judgement and potential.

Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Stockholm·IT-säkerhetstekniker

Nordic Investin is recruiting a Senior Cloud Security Engineer on behalf of one of our partner companies. You want cloud security to be expressed in code, guardrails and useful feedback rather than a document teams discover during review. The partner is expanding workloads across Azure or AWS and needs stronger preventive and detective controls. You will build security capabilities into the platform and work directly with engineering teams on adoption. Security work is expected to reduce real exposure while preserving the organisation’s ability to deliver. The strongest candidates can connect a technical weakness with a credible threat, an appropriate control and a practical path to implementation. How you will work You will work directly with the people who design, operate and depend on the systems being protected. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. The role still includes hands on delivery; seniority here means broader judgement, not distance from the work. What you will do Implement cloud security policies and automated controls. Strengthen identity, privilege and workload access patterns. Secure network boundaries, secrets and encryption. Integrate security checks into infrastructure pipelines. Develop monitoring and response for cloud threats. Investigate findings and help teams remove root causes. What you will bring Hands on Azure or AWS security engineering. Strong IAM, networking and encryption knowledge. Infrastructure as code and policy as code experience. Understanding of containers and cloud native workloads. Ability to script or develop security automation. Professional English and collaborative problem solving. Experience that would add value CNAPP, CSPM or cloud detection engineering. Kubernetes security. Experience in a regulated cloud environment. A background that can succeed here Your background might be cloud engineering with a security focus, security operations moving into automation or application security that expanded into platforms. We care about controls you have implemented and operated. What makes the opportunity interesting You will have the access and mandate to improve the cloud foundation itself. The partner offers complex environments, modern tooling and close collaboration with the teams whose work your controls protect. The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time. Senior Security Engineer

Stockholm·IT-säkerhetstekniker

Want to be part of transforming road freight – for good? Einride is showing the world a new way to move, based on the latest digital, electric and autonomous technologies. Through freight capacity as a service, we enable businesses around the world to accelerate towards their sustainability goals. Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the world’s biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Sweden’s largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting. We are now looking for a Security Engineer to join our security team! You will: Build, integrate and operate our security monitoring platforms that ensure we can detect and respond to security incidents in all our environments, including user endpoints, SaaS applications, cloud infrastructure, our web platforms as well as our vehicles and charging stations. Be involved in security incident response when required, coordinating containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis. Build, manage and mature the vulnerability management program (including workstations, network perimeter, containers, source code, cloud configuration, etc) and build the appropriate security metrics to help drive risk-based decisions and investments. Build out our application security program that allows engineers to be self-empowered when appropriate and able to get assistance when required. Participate in threat modeling sessions and provide security advice in design of new and existing features. Collaborate with software engineers to help them improve our products’ security posture: help patch vulnerabilities, run security audits, explain complex IAM topics, brainstorm monitoring use-cases, etc We expect you to: 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or security engineering roles. Working experience in securing and monitoring public cloud infrastructure (e.g., ideally GCP, but any major cloud providers such as AWS or Azure work). Working experience in vulnerability management on multiple layers of the modern IT and software stack Experience with security incident management (preferably in a SOC, CDC or similar) Ability to code/script and automate repetitive tasks. We primarily use Go but if you have a general knack for coding, that matters more than having previous experience with a specific language. Great collaboration and communication skills, since you’ll be part of driving initiatives that span across the entire company. This is a full-time position based in Stockholm or Gothenburg. You will be part of a truly diverse, high performing team with a common passion for sustainability and making things happen in an innovative way. We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible since selection and interviews are held continually. Please note that as part of our standard recruitment process, we conduct a background control on the final candidate for this role. This may include verification of education, employment history, any relevant professional certifications or other information that may be of our interest. At Einride, we are innovators, building solutions the world has never seen before – but urgently needs. That’s why we take action, and it’s why we are always eager to be challenged. We know that our best innovations come from having a diverse mix of people, including those of different experiences, career paths, and walks of life. By coming together and sharing our perspectives openly – by disagreeing, discussing, and committing – we deliver greater impact. Born autonomous. Born electric. Since 2016, our technology has connected global communities with the things they need – and all without the emissions. We’re made up of experts in multiple fields and that’s how we’ve developed a new way to move goods. This is technology purpose-built for the industry. This is safer, cleaner, and more reliable movement. We are Einride and this is how we build a better future.
