Backend Software Engineer – AI Assist

Malmö·Mjukvaruutvecklare

Join Telavox as a Backend Software Engineer – AI Assist 🤖 Are you a backend engineer who wants to see AI run in production, not in a demo? AI Assist turns every recorded phone call on the Telavox platform into a transcript, a summary and action items for the people who took the call. We are looking for an engineer who is at home where distributed systems, telephony, and large language models meet. In this role, placed in Malmö or Stockholm, you'll build and run the services behind AI Assist: turning a finished call into text and insight, and delivering the result to our apps and our admin portal. You'll work in a small team with a lot of ownership, shaping what to build together with the product manager day to day, and what you ship reaches real customers and partners the same week. If you'd like to take the next step in your career and are excited by the challenge of making AI dependable at scale, this is your opportunity! About the job AI Assist is live today, sold both directly and through telecom operators across Europe, and usage is growing month over month. You'll join the team that owns it end to end, from the transcription pipeline to the APIs our apps and customers use. Much of the work is classic backend engineering with an AI twist: asynchronous processing, third-party model APIs, access control, metering, and data that has to be handled correctly under GDPR and EU data-residency requirements. You'll work side by side with a colleague focused on model evaluation and transcription quality, with the AI Agents team next door building our AI agent platform, and with the telephony, apps and platform teams whose systems yours plug into. Our stack: Java and Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and Google Vertex AI with Gemini and other model providers for transcription and analysis. Your day-to-day work may include: Designing, implementing and testing new capabilities in the AI service, from summaries a customer can shape themselves to the controls an admin needs to roll the product out. Evolving the transcription pipeline together with the telephony and platform teams. Integrating LLM and speech APIs in a production setting: asynchronous processing, quotas and rate limits, and keeping data within the EU. Building the APIs that serve transcripts to our apps, our admin portal and our customers, with access control and data retention done right. Owning what you ship: observability, alerting, and the follow-up when something fails. About you You're a product-minded backend engineer who likes owning a service from design to production, and who is comfortable in a system that spans several teams and a telephony platform with two decades of history. You care about correctness where it matters (who may read what, what is stored for how long, what a customer is billed for), and you enjoy the pace of a small team with customers and partners waiting for what you build. You don't need to be an AI researcher. You need to be the engineer who makes AI dependable. Key skills and experience we're looking for: Several years building backend services in Java, preferably with Spring Boot Strong understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and system integration across service boundaries Experience running services in production: monitoring, observability, and debugging in a distributed system Experience with relational databases and queue-based or job-based architectures Proficient in English, both spoken and written Good-to-have skills: Python, which we use alongside Java across the AI domain Experience calling LLM or speech-to-text APIs from production code (Gemini, OpenAI or similar) Experience deploying and running services on Kubernetes Familiarity with telephony concepts (SIP, call recording, PBX) or with GDPR and data-residency requirements in practice Join us at Telavox 💚 Since Telavox's journey started in 2002, we have strengthened our position as the leading forward-thinking communication platform for businesses. As a digital mobile operator, we develop and own our all-in-one communication platform, which integrates telephony, PBX, messaging, meetings, and contact centers, giving businesses a smarter way to connect. Today, we’re a thriving company with 1.9 billion SEK in revenue and 500+ Telavoxers across nine countries. We embrace AI and automation to push the boundaries of business communication. We offer flexible work options and adaptable hours, giving you the freedom to balance life and career while staying connected to our vibrant Telavox culture. Read more about our new HQ in Malmö 🏠! How to apply! At Telavox, we don't focus on fitting in; we focus on making room for everyone. We’re always on the lookout for great talent, so applications are reviewed continuously. If you're ready to be part of an innovative, AI-driven telecom company, apply today with your CV and cover letter in English.  Learn more about what we do! ⬇️

You can work across the full flow—from CAD and PLM sources to optimized assets and scalable services. You should also bring: A strong understanding of computer graphics, real-time and offline rendering, and production-ready 3D asset pipelines. Hands-on experience developing software products for 3D, computer graphics, or VFX workflows. Knowledge of product-development workflows from CAD tools such as Revit, SolidWorks, or CATIA through digital content creation, visualization, and rendering. Understanding of asset creation, materials, texturing, lighting, rigging, and scene composition; experience with OpenUSD, MaterialX, or glTF is a plus. A platform and DevOps mindset, with experience building, operating, and improving business-critical services in an agile environment. A degree in computer science, media technology, digital media, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience. Strong C++ skills, including native SDK integration, performance profiling, debugging, and maintainable adapters for third-party libraries. Practical knowledge of CAD data, assembly structures, exact geometry, tessellation, and conversion to polygonal meshes in a PLM or PDM context. Experience with mesh repair, topology, normals, tangents, UVs, materials, instancing, simplification, and automated LOD generation—balancing fidelity with file size, processing time, memory, and rendering performance. Our technology landscape includes Azure, Terraform, Docker, OpenAPI, Three.js, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, Python, MongoDB, Neo4j, PLM platforms, CAD and geometry SDKs, and mesh-processing libraries. You do not need to know them all- curiosity and a willingness to learn matter just as much. It’s a plus if you also bring: Experience with enterprise PLM or PDM platforms, CAD translation, or geometry SDKs. Experience with mesh-processing or optimization libraries and open 3D formats such as OpenUSD or glTF. Be yourself, a 3D Platform Engineer, and more! Nordic Investin Group AktiebolagAnsök senast 11 mars

Senior Embedded Linux Engineer

Malmö·Mjukvaruutvecklare

Nordic Investin is recruiting a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer on behalf of one of our partner companies. You enjoy the point where kernel behaviour, board constraints and product requirements meet. The partner is creating a Linux based device platform for connected products. You will own essential parts of the operating system layer, support new hardware and give application teams a stable, secure foundation. The environment will suit someone who enjoys building systems, testing assumptions in code and taking responsibility for production behaviour. Technical choices are expected to be explained in terms of maintainability, reliability and the people who use the product. How you will work You will work in short delivery cycles with direct access to product, domain and operational colleagues. The partner expects engineers to review designs, test assumptions early and follow important changes into production. Decisions should be recorded clearly enough that another engineer can understand the tradeoff months later. As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. The role still includes hands on delivery; seniority here means broader judgement, not distance from the work. What you will do Perform board bring up and hardware focused fault isolation. Configure and maintain Linux kernels, bootloaders and device trees. Develop or adapt device drivers and low level services. Build reproducible images with Yocto or Buildroot. Strengthen update, networking and security mechanisms. Improve diagnostics, performance and long term maintainability. What you will bring Strong C or C plus plus programming ability. Hands on embedded Linux and board bring up experience. Knowledge of kernel interfaces, drivers and hardware debugging. Production experience with Yocto or Buildroot. Understanding of networking and embedded security. Comfort working with electronics and application engineers. Experience that would add value Secure boot, OTA updates or trusted execution. Real time extensions or mixed Linux RTOS systems. Experience bringing a new hardware generation into production. A background that can succeed here You may come from networking equipment, vehicles, industrial devices, audio products or robotics. The common thread is that you have solved problems that could not be reproduced by looking at application logs alone. What makes the opportunity interesting This role gives you ownership of the layer that makes everything above it possible. The partner has technically demanding products, close access to hardware and room for you to improve both the platform and the way it is built. The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time. The recruitment conversation During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional technology if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap. How to apply Apply with your CV or LinkedIn profile and a short note describing the most relevant system, product or transformation you have helped deliver. Nordic Investin welcomes candidates with different routes into technology and assesses applicants on relevant capability, judgement and potential.

Voyado Lund ABAnsök senast 10 okt.

Senior Software Engineer

Lund·Mjukvaruutvecklare

This is a hands-on senior engineering role at the heart of how Voyado Elevate understands products. As a subsystem team inspired by Team Topologies, you, Andreas and Maxim own our Classifier - the service that enriches every product feed with LLMs and maps it into our Knowledge Graph, powering search, recommendations, and navigation. You sit at the intersection of our search, recommendation, and ontology teams, and the team owns the technical roadmap. Right now that means scaling our LLM-based classification pipeline further into production while keeping a sharp eye on cost as data volumes grow. Customers are increasingly getting access to the classification data behind their search and recommendation results, so quality and explainability matter as much as speed. Next up: extending enrichment from text into images, one of our biggest technical bets in the roadmap. Day to day is a mix of two things: hands-on Java and LLM work to keep a demanding, cost-sensitive production system healthy, and architecture and roadmap discussions that shape where it goes next. We push to work agentically wherever it makes sense - using AI tools to move faster, not just to tick a box. Some of the things you'd be up to: Development, writing code in Java! ☕️ Centralize deep technical expertise within machine learning, knowledge graph structures, NLP, and LLM models Prompt Engineering Taking part in setting our technical roadmap Contribute to design discussions and architectural decisions, and make sure the service is built using best practices Create semantically enriched product classification, leveraging AI for automation, and deliver actionable product knowledge to stakeholders Drive innovation and continuous improvement through prototyping and evaluating new technologies And when the time comes when you need a break, why don't you spend some time in the gym, tinker in our puzzle corner or challenge our Åre office in Call of Duty on our PlayStation 5? 🎮 So, who are you? You're a senior developer who's more energized by solving hard problems at scale than by following a spec to the letter. You think about how a system performs and what it costs, not just whether it works in a demo, and you're comfortable owning a production service end to end: the trade-offs between precision and recall, speed and cost, automation and control. You can hold your own in architecture discussions with search, recommendation, and ontology stakeholders, and you're just as happy writing the code yourself as designing it. Besides those personal skills, we believe you have the following: A Master's degree in Computer Science, or a comparable industry career Experience working in cloud environments Experience with machine learning, knowledge graph structures, NLP, and LLM models And most importantly, passion for what you do If you are interested in algorithmic problem-solving, that's meritorious. Some of the technologies you’ll get to work with Java LLMs AWS Github Actions Co-pilot So, what's in it for you? 🍬 Voyado Elevate wouldn’t be the powerful platform it is without the people behind it. Senior Software Engineer - Ranking & Recommendation

Lund·Mjukvaruutvecklare

Great ranking is what turns a search into a find. A shopper finding the right product immediately is a strong signal. But retailers also want to inspire discovery, increase product exposure, and showcase more of their assortment, and help shoppers discover relevant products beyond their initial search. Balancing those goals is one of the challenges you’ll help us solve. Our ranking engine is built in-house. It analyzes large product catalogs and behavioral datasets while returning results in tens of milliseconds. About the role As a Senior Software Engineer in Ranking & Recommendations, you’ll together with the team own the logic that determines what shoppers see - and in what order - across product recommendations and personalized rankings in Voyado’s Product Discovery Engine. Day to day, you’ll combine hands-on development with system-level thinking. You’ll connect algorithmic improvements to the wider product: response times, downstream systems, testability, rollout strategy, and measurable customer value. Some of the things you’ll be up to Build and evolve ranking capabilities and the production services that power them, primarily in Java and partly in Python Design and fine-tune algorithms for personalized ranking and product recommendations Build systems that combine behavioral, customer-provided, and other ranking signals dynamically Design, run, and evaluate A/B tests Automate test flows Contribute to architectural decisions and the team’s technical roadmap Evaluate how new capabilities affect latency, scalability, reliability, and surrounding systems Turn technically complex features into clear, testable increments that can be brought to market So, who are you? You’re an experienced software engineer who enjoys algorithmic problems but naturally looks beyond the algorithm itself. You think about how a change behaves as part of a larger production system - and what it means for performance, testing, maintainability, and customer value. You bring architectural experience and you're comfortable creating structure where the path is not yet obvious, and you have the persistence to move difficult problems forward. You collaborate openly, welcome feedback, and create momentum around ideas. Just as importantly, you’re curious about whether the system is optimizing for the right outcome - not only whether the implementation works. We believe you have: Excellent programming skills and a strong understanding of data structures Familiarity with concurrent programming A solid understanding of fundamental algorithms Strong object-oriented programming skills Experience designing or evolving production systems from an architectural perspective Experience working with a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud It’s a plus if you have: Worked with machine learning, embeddings, or LLMs in production Experience with low-latency, high-throughput services Why join Ranking & Recommendations? You’ll work at the forefront of ranking and recommendation development on technology that directly shapes how shoppers discover products. The team is small and autonomous. You won’t simply receive a finished specification - you’ll help decide what to build, how to build it, and how to measure whether it creates the right outcome. Your work will operate at meaningful retail scale, where milliseconds matter and algorithmic decisions have a visible impact on both shopper behavior and commercial results. You’ll also have the opportunity to broaden the team’s architectural perspective and help turn deep technical innovation into reliable, market-ready capabilities. Some of the technologies you’ll work with Java & Python Ranking and recommendation algorithms A/B testing and experimentation Machine learning, embeddings, and LLMs AI-assisted development tools Microservices AWS And when you need a break, you can spend some time in our office gym, explore the puzzle corner, or challenge our Åre office in Call of Duty on the PlayStation 5. 🎮 So, what's in it for you? 🍬 Voyado Elevate wouldn’t be the powerful platform it is without the people behind it.
