Cloud FinOps Engineer
One of Nordic Investin’s partner companies is looking for a Cloud FinOps Engineer, with Nordic Investin leading the recruitment process. You can read a cloud bill, trace the engineering behaviour behind it and help teams make better choices without blocking delivery. The partner wants stronger control over cloud economics across growing Azure and AWS estates. You will connect cost data with architecture, ownership and product priorities, then turn findings into changes engineers can act on. The platform is treated as a service used by engineers and business teams. Success will be measured through safer change, lower operational friction and clearer ownership rather than the number of tools introduced. How you will work The work combines planned platform development with investigation of real production behaviour. You will collaborate with application teams, security and operations, using their feedback to decide what should become a shared service, an automated control or clear documentation. Ownership continues after the first release. You will receive meaningful ownership while working with senior colleagues on the most consequential decisions. The partner expects you to deliver independently within a clear area, ask for context early and contribute ideas grounded in what you observe. There is room to deepen your specialism or broaden toward adjacent responsibilities. What you will do Build accurate cost allocation and tagging models. Create dashboards for spend, unit economics and forecast variance. Identify idle capacity, inefficient services and commitment opportunities. Work with teams on rightsizing and architecture changes. Establish practical budget, anomaly and accountability processes. Communicate savings opportunities without losing operational context. What you will bring Experience in cloud engineering, FinOps, technology finance or analytics. Good understanding of Azure or AWS pricing and billing. Strong data analysis and visualisation ability. Ability to discuss tradeoffs with engineers and finance teams. Experience defining allocation or showback models. Professional English and careful attention to evidence. Experience that would add value FinOps Foundation certification. Terraform or cloud automation experience. Cost optimisation in Kubernetes or data platforms. A background that can succeed here You may come from engineering and have developed a commercial instinct, or from finance and have built strong cloud fluency. The partner is open to either route if you can connect technical choices with credible numbers. What makes the opportunity interesting This role gives you access to decisions before costs become fixed. You will make cloud investment easier to understand and help teams spend deliberately while preserving the performance and resilience their products require. The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time. The recruitment conversation During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional technology if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap. How to apply Apply with your CV or LinkedIn profile and a short note describing the most relevant system, product or transformation you have helped deliver. Nordic Investin welcomes candidates with different routes into technology and assesses applicants on relevant capability, judgement and potential.
Senior AWS Platform Engineer
Nordic Investin has been engaged by a partner company to find a Senior AWS Platform Engineer. You want development teams to move quickly because the platform makes the safe path the easy path. The partner is building an AWS platform that supports several digital products. You will create reusable infrastructure, improve developer self service and take ownership of the controls that keep cloud delivery secure and predictable. As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. The role still includes hands on delivery; seniority here means broader judgement, not distance from the work. What you will do Design AWS landing zones, accounts and shared platform services. Build reusable infrastructure modules with Terraform. Create paved paths for deployment, secrets and observability. Improve identity, network and policy controls. Support container and serverless workloads in production. Work with product teams to remove recurring delivery friction. What you will bring Strong hands on AWS experience across production environments. Infrastructure as code using Terraform or an equivalent tool. Knowledge of IAM, networking, encryption and cloud security. Experience with Kubernetes, ECS or serverless platforms. CI CD and software development skills. Professional English and a service oriented platform mindset. Experience that would add value AWS Control Tower or multi account governance. Developer portals and platform product practices. Experience in a regulated cloud environment. A background that can succeed here Your background may be cloud engineering, DevOps, software development or infrastructure automation. The important part is that you treat the platform as a product with users, feedback and measurable reliability. What makes the opportunity interesting You will help shape a platform before every decision becomes permanent. The partner offers broad AWS ownership, close contact with application teams and problems that reward both automation and sound operational judgement.
