Senior Software Engineer
This is a hands-on senior engineering role at the heart of how Voyado Elevate understands products. As a subsystem team inspired by Team Topologies, you, Andreas and Maxim own our Classifier - the service that enriches every product feed with LLMs and maps it into our Knowledge Graph, powering search, recommendations, and navigation. You sit at the intersection of our search, recommendation, and ontology teams, and the team owns the technical roadmap. Right now that means scaling our LLM-based classification pipeline further into production while keeping a sharp eye on cost as data volumes grow. Customers are increasingly getting access to the classification data behind their search and recommendation results, so quality and explainability matter as much as speed. Next up: extending enrichment from text into images, one of our biggest technical bets in the roadmap. Day to day is a mix of two things: hands-on Java and LLM work to keep a demanding, cost-sensitive production system healthy, and architecture and roadmap discussions that shape where it goes next. We push to work agentically wherever it makes sense - using AI tools to move faster, not just to tick a box. Some of the things you'd be up to: Development, writing code in Java! ☕️ Centralize deep technical expertise within machine learning, knowledge graph structures, NLP, and LLM models Prompt Engineering Taking part in setting our technical roadmap Contribute to design discussions and architectural decisions, and make sure the service is built using best practices Create semantically enriched product classification, leveraging AI for automation, and deliver actionable product knowledge to stakeholders Drive innovation and continuous improvement through prototyping and evaluating new technologies And when the time comes when you need a break, why don't you spend some time in the gym, tinker in our puzzle corner or challenge our Åre office in Call of Duty on our PlayStation 5? 🎮 So, who are you? You're a senior developer who's more energized by solving hard problems at scale than by following a spec to the letter. You think about how a system performs and what it costs, not just whether it works in a demo, and you're comfortable owning a production service end to end: the trade-offs between precision and recall, speed and cost, automation and control. You can hold your own in architecture discussions with search, recommendation, and ontology stakeholders, and you're just as happy writing the code yourself as designing it. Besides those personal skills, we believe you have the following: A Master's degree in Computer Science, or a comparable industry career Experience working in cloud environments Experience with machine learning, knowledge graph structures, NLP, and LLM models And most importantly, passion for what you do If you are interested in algorithmic problem-solving, that's meritorious. Some of the technologies you’ll get to work with Java LLMs AWS Github Actions Co-pilot So, what's in it for you? 🍬 Voyado Elevate wouldn’t be the powerful platform it is without the people behind it. We care about you, and some examples of what we can offer you are: A lovely worksite in Lund, we just opened our Voyado house on Gasverksgatan. Flexible working hours and a hybrid work approach. We're on-site at least three days a week Work-life balance – We don't have a long work-hours culture; we value results over hours worked As we strive for our employees to share Voyado’s passions and goals, you should demand no less from us. With regular one-on-ones, we make sure your needs and career have a great future at Voyado Joining an engaged team and colleagues with a knowledge-sharing and friendly culture Some of our benefits: A health hour each week, use it for walks, running, or working out – whatever you need to energize Our own gym at the office 30 days of vacation so that you can spend time with family and friends 5000 SEK in wellness allowance Encouragement to further develop personally and professionally with certifications, meetups, etc. Beneficial bike lease, including e-bikes Your choice of phone and gadget package Be yourself 🏳️🌈 At Voyado, we believe in gender equality. We are proud sponsors of Womengineer as well as Tjejer Kodar! Read more about Tjejer Kodar & Voyado here Equality is not only about gender but also about making everyone feel welcome and heard in a multicultural and diverse environment, We at Voyado strive to make everyone feel like they can bring their true self to work every day. Senior Engineer
Klarna, briefly Klarna is a global digital bank and payments network. As of our Q1 2026 results: 119 million active consumers, over a million merchants, 26 markets, 3.4 million transactions a day. Listed on the New York Stock Exchange. About the role Being an engineer at Klarna means building and owning the systems that move money for millions of people — and that responsibility doesn't end when those systems ship. Your team and your focus can also change as the business changes, and the domain you join may look different in a year. Either way, this stays a hands-on role: you're still writing code, still making architecture calls, still in the codebase, and your influence comes from the quality of that work and the engineers you work most closely with. We are searching for someone who brings expertise that changes what we are capable of. You've built something we haven't. You've gone deep somewhere we haven't been yet. The engineers here are strong; what they don't have is your specific experience, and that's exactly the gap we're hiring into. What you'll do Make sound, defensible technical decisions, and be able to say clearly what you decided against and why. Think past your own contribution: how it fits the wider architecture, where failures propagate, what breaks first under load, and who feels it downstream. Tie technical choices to business outcomes and size the solution to the problem's actual value - including when the right answer is something small. Design for the constraints that come with being a regulated bank - reliability, auditability, controls - and treat them as part of the engineering problem rather than an obstacle to it. Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across teams. You act as a multiplier and elevate the people and teams around you, not just your own output. Set the standard for how your domain uses AI in everyday practice - not as a demo, as a working method. Who you are You bring a capability Klarna doesn't have today. Your experience doesn't just improve what's already there - it unlocks something new entirely. You have built and operated systems with real reliability and performance demands at scale, a plus if in Java, JavaScript, or Python environments. You make trade-offs and can articulate the roads not taken. You optimize for business outcomes over engineering elegance, and you know the difference between right-sizing and gold-plating. You explain complex systems clearly to technical and non-technical audiences alike. You lead through your work, not your title. You're comfortable with ambiguity and can move an initiative forward across several teams without formal authority over any of them. You have scar tissue and you talk about it - the incident, the design that didn't survive contact with production, what you changed afterwards. Things you should know before applying Working together: We value co-located teams; most teams currently meet in the office 2–3 days per week, and this varies by team and can change over time. Non-obvious backgrounds are welcome. Diversity of skills, perspectives and backgrounds is how we create, innovate, and disrupt like no other. Final compensation will be based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. This is a general Lead Engineer opening, not tied to one fixed team. Depending on need at the time of hiring, you could be placed in one of several domains. A domain is a group of teams working on a related set of problems — for example, everything to do with risk, or everything to do with checkout. Please include a CV in English. Concrete beats comprehensive — what you built, what it did, what it cost.
Senior Full Stack Engineer (Consultant)
About the Role We're looking for a senior engineer who can hit the ground running in complex client environments and bring both technical depth and delivery ownership to the table. You'll be embedded with clients across fintech, insurance, SaaS, and enterprise software — leading backend architecture, driving frontend quality, and mentoring the engineers around you. This is a hands-on role. We need someone who writes production code, makes architectural calls, and communicates trade-offs clearly to both engineers and stakeholders. What You'll Do • Design and build scalable, cloud-native applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and React • Architect backend services using NestJS, GraphQL, and microservices patterns on AWS • Lead database design and optimization across PostgreSQL and Redis • Drive CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployments • Work across async messaging layers (Kafka, SQS) in distributed system contexts • Build and maintain real-time communication features using WebRTC and peer-to-peer protocols • Consult directly with client engineering leads on architecture and delivery strategy • Collaborate across US and Nordic client teams, navigating time zones, communication styles, and delivery expectations • Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to technical standards across the team What We're Looking For • 5+ years in full stack development with a polyglot background (TypeScript/JavaScript, C#/.NET, SQL) • Strong command of Node.js backend frameworks, particularly NestJS • React expertise at scale, including performance optimization and component architecture • Solid AWS depth: Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, SQS, and ideally ECS or EKS • Hands-on experience with WebRTC and real-time communication systems in production • Proven track record working with US-based clients or teams in an embedded or consulting model • Familiarity with Nordic engineering culture and workplace norms — direct communication, flat hierarchies, delivery autonomy • Comfort owning delivery in a consulting or embedded team model — not just executing tickets • Clear written and verbal communication, especially with non-technical stakeholders Nice to Have • Experience building AI-powered features or integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain/LangGraph) • Familiarity with agentic development workflows or spec-driven delivery approaches • C#/.NET background for legacy system contexts • Prior exposure to regulated industries such as insurance, fintech, or telecom Why This Role You'll work across real product teams, not just maintenance accounts. We run lean embedded teams with clear accountability, and we give experienced engineers room to shape how work gets done — not just what gets built. Our client base spans the US and Nordics, so you'll bring cross-market perspective that most candidates simply don't have.
