Mullvad VPN ABAnsök senast 6 jan.

Senior Developer to Relay Software Team

Göteborg·Systemutvecklare/Programmerare

About Us Mullvad VPN is a Swedish VPN company dedicated to fighting mass surveillance and censorship. We do this primarily through our VPN service and our privacy-focused web browser. Over the years, we have been pioneers when it comes to VPN technology and we intend to remain trailblazers. Everything we do is built with our users’ security and privacy first — with the ambition of making mass surveillance and censorship impractical. The Job We're looking for a Senior Developer to join our Relay Software Team at Mullvad. This team is responsible for all custom software solutions used on our VPN relays. You'll play a key role in advancing server support for technologies such as Quantum-secure tunnels, traffic-analysis protection and protocol obfuscation. Who Are You You're someone who enjoys working in a team, contributes ideas proactively, and has a strong interest in security, networks and low-level software development. You value quality, maintainability, and thoughtful software design. You are curious and eager to learn, and you understand the importance of digital privacy. Responsibilities Work on new and exciting technologies and greenfield projects. Using Go, design and implement robust server software for running on Linux. Author clean solutions that balance performance and resource usage. Perform measurements, testing and troubleshooting. Coordinate with stakeholders and developers in other departments. Qualifications Excellent written and spoken English and Swedish. Highly developed understanding of software design and all aspects of software implementation. Experience with building server software. Excellent understanding of networking fundamentals. Strong knowledge in at least one of C/Go/Rust. Why Mullvad? We value quality over quantity and believe in good solutions rather than quick fixes. Our apps are open source, our teams are curious and collaborative, and we care deeply about removing bloat rather than adding it. We are a bunch of diversified peeps: from vegans to marathon runners, audiophiles to farmers and coffee brewers. So, what unites us? Our commitment to living and breathing our mission, to make mass surveillance and censorship impractical.  If you want to build products that make an impact, enjoy generous benefits, and work for a purpose you can stand behind, welcome to Mullvad. Additional Information Location: Gothenburg, Sweden Start: As soon as possible Job Hours: Full-time, hybrid 60% on-site position This is an ongoing recruitment process and we aim to fill the position as soon as possible. Please note that due to the holiday season, there may be some delays in our response times. We appriciate your patience and will get back to you as soon as possible. As part of our hiring process, we conduct a background check to ensure a safe and secure work environment.

Tech Lead - Credit & Fraud

Stockholm·IT-arkitekt/Lösningsarkitekt

What we do at Qliro At Qliro we deliver safe and simple payments. We are a dedicated partner to our merchants who serve their customers every day. We believe that if our merchants grow, we grow. We are a company of dedicated, friendly and highly competent people that together have redefined what Qliro and payments can be. We are now on a journey of scaling our business both here in Sweden and the Nordics. What your team does We’re looking for a Senior Tech Lead to own the technical direction of our Credit & Fraud team, the team at the center of Qliro’s Pay Later platform. What we do here shapes whether customers can pay in a way that actually works for them, and whether we protect them from taking on debt they can’t handle. It’s a dual responsibility, and we take both sides seriously. We’re rebuilding the next generation of this system from the ground up, designed to handle a significant increase in transaction volumes as we scale. Part of what you’ll lead is making this platform ready to operate beyond the Nordics, so the architectural decisions you make now will need to hold up across multiple markets. We’re in the early stages of exploring how AI can help us make better credit and fraud decisions, and we’re honest that this is genuinely complex territory. Credit is one of the most regulated areas when it comes to AI: explainability, fairness, and auditability aren’t optional. We want someone who finds that complexity interesting, not someone who pretends it isn’t there. What you will do You’ll own the technical direction of the team and write production-grade .NET yourself, not occasionally, but regularly. You’ll make architectural decisions you can defend, drive performance and scale from the start, and treat observability and decision traceability as first-class concerns, not afterthoughts. Credit and fraud touch nearly everything at Qliro, which means you’ll work across a wide range of stakeholders: product, risk, compliance, other engineering teams. You’ll be the person who can hold a technical position in a room full of people with competing priorities, make a call under ambiguity, and bring clarity when there’s none. You’ll understand the regulatory and compliance landscape well enough to know what constraints you’re building within. You’ll set others up to succeed. Not in a formal, structured way, but in the way that actually matters: sharing hard-won knowledge, asking the right questions, and making the engineers around you better at their craft. What you'll bring to the team You’ve led technical work on systems where getting it wrong had real consequences, ideally in credit, fraud, risk, or payments, or in a high-transaction financial environment where you’ve developed that instinct. You’re comfortable operating in a heavily regulated environment and understand that compliance constraints aren’t obstacles to good engineering, they’re part of it. You understand that in this domain, correctness matters as much as speed, and you build accordingly. You’ve driven platform transformations before, not just worked on greenfield projects. You know what it means to move away from one system while keeping it running, and you bring the mindset to finish that job rather than work around it. You have opinions about what good looks like, production-grade code, observable systems, sensible tradeoffs and you’re not precious about being challenged on them. You’re comfortable being the one who decides when there’s no perfect answer, and you’re open to being wrong. You don’t wait for a perfect spec to start thinking. How we work Engineering ownership here is real. Engineers make calls that matter and are trusted to defend them. How your team works day to day — how often you’re in the office, how you structure your time — is something teams decide for themselves. We’re based in Stockholm, but we’ve found that trusting teams to figure out their own rhythm works better than a company-wide policy. Does this sound like your next role? What are you waiting for - apply now!  Qliro is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to gender, gender identity or expression, national origin, religion or other beliefs, disability, sexual orientation or age.

Engineering Manager – Monetisation

Stockholm·Systemutvecklare/Programmerare

YOUR MISSION AT VOI As an Engineering Manager at Voi, you will lead and grow a cross-functional product team while staying close to the code. This role is ideal for a strong technical lead ready to take a first step into people management – someone who wants to shape team culture, support engineers’ growth, and drive delivery without leaving their technical roots behind. The Monetisation team owns Voi’s core payment flows, subscriptions, upsell and in-app advertising. The technical scope spans core backend systems, payment integrations, native mobile client views and more. This is an excellent opportunity to grow into leadership while having a tangible impact on the micromobility industry. Be a present, hands-on leader for a team of 4–5 engineers: run 1:1s, support growth and create a safe, collaborative environment where people do their best work. Partner closely with the Product Manager and Designer to align on priorities, shape the roadmap and drive high-quality delivery. Lead by doing: write code, review PRs and engage deeply in technical decisions across backend, web and mobile. Champion engineering excellence by guiding architectural decisions, fostering good development practices and promoting continuous improvement – enabling sustainably rapid delivery in a complex micromobility business. Coach and develop engineers through feedback, mentorship and clear expectations – with support from us if this is your first formal people management role. Lead the team in adopting agentic engineering practices: actively use and encourage AI-assisted development and help engineers build the habits and judgement to get the most out of these tools. Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture aligned with Voi’s values, and be a driver for inclusion and psychological safety within your team. WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK You are a hands-on, collaborative engineer with a passion for both technology and people. You enjoy working across domains, take ownership of delivery and are curious about how AI can elevate the way teams build software. 4+ years of hands-on experience as an engineer in modern tech stacks, building reliable software in a fast-paced environment. A generalist mindset with experience in backend, web and/or mobile development. 2+ years of experience in a tech lead, senior or informal leadership capacity – you have guided others technically, even if you have not held a management title. No prior people management experience required – this is a growth area we will support you in. Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools (for example modern code assistants) and a genuine interest in agentic engineering workflows. You lean into these tools and help your team build the skillset to use them effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate both technical and cross-functional conversations with ease. Fluency in English, written and spoken. Don’t meet every requirement? If you are excited about this role and our mission, and have relevant, transferable skills, we encourage you to apply – even if you don’t check every box. WHY VOI? Working at Voi is more than just a job; our People Promise includes a personal voyage where you will grow as a professional and be a part of a team and culture that builds something meaningful for society. In addition to this you’ll have the opportunity to: Join Europe’s #1 micromobility operator and one of the fastest growing scale-ups. Get “skin in the game” through our employee options programme. Enjoy unlimited free Voi rides and a dog-friendly office. Work together with inspiring, motivated and fun colleagues towards a common goal. Join the micromobility revolution and be a part of creating sustainable cities made for living, free from noise and pollution.
