For more information about the company, please visit www.aimpoint.com/se MECHANICAL ENGINEER We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our product engineering team (BU RDS) at Aimpoint. You will develop and maintain high-quality sighting systems, working with new product development, product life cycle, and urgent technical or quality issues. The role requires strong analytical skills and technical knowledge in machining, precision mechanics, and tolerance analysis. Experience with D-FMECA, tolerance calculations, and test/validation is key to ensure our products meet high standards for accuracy, durability, and functionality. What you will do · Contribute technical expertise in machining and precision mechanics to new development projects, from concept to final product, including prototyping, testing, verification, and validation. · Lead D-FMECA, concept selection, and root cause analysis work. · Ensure that the design meet specified requirements and strict tolerance and performance standards. · Maintain and improve existing products based on field data and customer feedback. · Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with precision requirements. · Quickly resolve urgent technical or production issues affecting quality or delivery. Skills and Experience · Solid knowledge of manufacturing methods, material selection, and machining for precision components. · Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks) and experienced in designing mechanical products. · Skilled in tolerance analysis · Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and ability to address urgent technical issues. · Experienced in technical documentation, test analysis, and facilitating of workshops. · Able to work in interdisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Personal Qualities · Structured, detail-oriented, and accurate. · Flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritize urgent tasks in a changing environment. · Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills. · Innovative, curious, and driven to develop new solutions and improve products. Education and Qualifications Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar). You will lead the regional Field Services organization, working closely with Resident Site Managers, Field Service Operations Managers, Warranty and Customer Services Managers, and Transit Resident Engineers. You will collaborate with Product Management, Services Sales, and OE/Service project teams to ensure strong customer delivery, effective warranty execution, and continuous product performance improvement. How will you make a difference? In this role, you will position Field Services as a key commercial and operational strength. You will deploy the Transit Field Services strategy across the region, strengthen customer intimacy and market understanding, and support project execution during warranty phases. You will optimize cost, on‑time delivery, and workforce efficiency while ensuring strong feedback from the field to Product Management to improve product performance and serviceability. What will your typical day look like? Lead and develop the regional Field Services organization. Deploy and track KPIs to drive quality, cost, and performance. Implement the Transit Field Services strategy (organization, processes, tools). Manage resource planning, budgeting, and workforce efficiency. Support OE and Service projects during warranty and retrofit phases. Strengthen customer relationships and ensure service delivery excellence. Support Services Sales with customer‑centric service solutions and offerings. Drive cost optimization and OTD improvements in Field MRO activities. Manage and develop FS leadership roles across multiple sites. Ensure effective collaboration with Resident Engineers and project teams. Provide structured product performance feedback (REX) to Product Management. Qualifications What do we want to know about you? Engineering degree or technical qualification.
