About the position Your primary responsibilities will include responsibility for patients and patient safety in the daily clinical work and supervising students in anaesthesia and analgesia within the university clinics. Participation in the out-of-hours service is also expected. In your day-to-day role, you will be actively involved in the clinical teaching of veterinary students, interns, and residents. You will also provide guidance and support to veterinary nurses. Opportunities to engage in ongoing clinical research are available, and you may also contribute to lecturing, small group teaching, and assessing veterinary students. Your profile You are a licensed Veterinarian eligible to practise veterinary medicine in Sweden, and a EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia or an ACVAA board-certified specialist. Teaching and/or research experience in the field is considered merits. Proficiency in English is required, and you either speak a Scandinavian language or are committed to learning Swedish within a time-period of ca 2-3 years. Veterinarian for 24/7 Emergency Animal Hospital
The work will focus on emergency care and urgent cases. Emergency care work is performed independently while working within a multidisciplinary team. The work is shift-based and may contain evening-, night- and Sunday shifts. In our 24/7 veterinary hospitals across Finland, pets are cared for by dedicated teams of veterinary professionals. We are able to support our patients throughout the entire continuum of care, from preventive healthcare and emergency treatment to advanced procedures and rehabilitation. Our hospitals provide around-the-clock emergency and critical care services for pets. In the intensive care and emergency teams, veterinarians work alongside highly trained and skilled veterinary nurses. Essential requirements: - You should be comfortable performing basic emergency surgeries independently. - Experience in intensive care is not required, but the ability to manage typical out-of-hours emergencies is essential. - Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a bold and proactive mindset - someone who stays calm under pressure and takes initiative. - A confident, team-oriented approach to clinical work. - Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions. - Good English language skills - fluency is required in day-to-day work.
